The high carbon steel used in NYXL strings offer higher break strength, enhanced tuning stability, and accentuated mid-range frequency response,  providing more presence and crunch to cut through the mix. Made with a NY Steel core, premium nickel-plated steel wrap wire, and Fusion Twist technology, NYXL electric guitar strings are tough enough and versatile enough to handle anything. 9-42 Super Light gauge strings are easy to bend and very flexible. 09-46 Super Light Top/Reg Bottom gauge strings have more low-end tone, while staying flexible for bends. 10-46 Regular Light is our most popular gauge, providing a nice balance of tone and playability. 10-52 Light Top/Heavy Bottom gauge strings have a deeper low-end than Regular Lights, balanced with comfortable playability.
