Right away, you’ll notice the parameters perfectly match those on the Centura’s more expensive counterpart. Gain dials in the amount of grit and dirt you need in your signal, Treble adds in higher frequencies as it is increased and Output sets the overall volume the pedal disperses. The true magic here is the tone….it’s almost something you can’t quite put your finger on, but instantly realize it’s been missing from your setup forever.

The Centura is amazing as a clean boost, the way many use the Klon, to beef up your pickups a tad, or to boost a signal slowed by a long effects chain. The sweetest spots are between 10:00 and 2:00 on the Treble dial, with Output and Gain mixed to taste, but everyone’s perception and use of this beast is going to be different (as with most pedals).
